Neo-Sew'L Workshop: Alteration Basics

Clothing Alterations are a popular reason many new sewists want to learn to sew. Join this Neo-Sew'L Workshop and you can learn basic alteration skills. We will use a basic T-shirt to practice different alteration techniques.

What you will learn:

-How to take in and let out seams for better fit

-How to sew a Zipper

-How to sew a Button by hand/machine

-How to hem by hand/machine

-Alteration tips and tricks that can be used for upcycling/reworking clothing

What to Bring:

-Sewing Machine

-Sewing Notions/Tools: Scissors, Bobbins, Machine/Hand Needles, Measuring Tape, etc.

-Oversized T-shirt(needs to be at least 2 sizes bigger for learning purposes)

The Neo-Sew'L Workshop series is focused on helping you learn how to sew, practice basic sewing techniques, and get familiar with the sewing machine. These workshops are geared toward Beginner/Novice Sewists but ALL levels are welcomed.
